Retki alkaa Cesar Manriquen suunnittelemasta kompleksista, joka on rakennettu Jameos del Aguan vulkaanisten luolien ympärille. Hän muutti ne yökerhoksi 60-luvulla. Lava on yhä käytössä, mutta nykyään pääosassa ovat harvinaiset valkoiset ravut suolavesilammessa. Seuraavaksi matkaat dramaattisten maisemien halki Mirador del Rion näköalapaikalle, joka on toinen Manriquen mestariteos. Eigentlich hatten wir nicht erwartet dass die Tour zu Timanfaya zu toppen ist, aber wir wurden angenehm überrascht. Diese Tour war wirklich unglaublich. Die Führerin hat es sehr gut verständlich und super erklärt. Die Gegend ist ganz anders als der Süden und man sollte an dieser Tour unbedingt teilnehmen.

Die Tour selbst, ist gut. Man sieht in kurzer Zeit viel vom Norden. Was fehlte war die Zeit an den einzelnen Orten. Warum aber an der Aloe Vera Farm auf einmal viel Zeit war, mag jeder selbst beurteilen. Schön auch ein kurzer Zwischenstop in Haria, weil jetzt in der Weihnachtszeit die Krippe aufgebaut ist. Negativ - aber nur in diesem Punkt - fiel der Reiseführer auf, der jeden Satz x mal wiederholt hat, um dann auch noch den Lehrer zu machen, indem er die Reisenden wie in der Schule befragte.
