Seeing the sculptures in that beautiful natural setting was impressive, and somehow more thought provoking. The special exhibition was well curated and informative. I would have liked to see more Chagall pieces. I.enjoyed my lunch under the fir trees and had good service. Overall, a terrific experience (though the walk up that hill from lower car park took it out of me!). Many thanks.
La Fondation Maeguerite et Aimé Maeght è una delle principali istituzioni culturali del mondo. Inaugurata il 28 luglio 1964 da André Malraux, la fondazione è nata dall'amicizia di Aimé Maeght e di sua moglie Marguerite con alcuni dei più importanti artisti del XX secolo.
Il museo possiede una delle più importanti collezioni di dipinti, sculture, disegni e opere grafiche di artisti moderni e contemporanei in Europa, con oltre 13.000 referenze: un'eccezionale collezione di sculture di Alberto Giacometti e opere di Joan Miró, capolavori di Pierre Bonnard, Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Georges Braque e molti altri.
