Herr Kellenberger hat uns die bewegte Geschichte dieser reizvollen Metropolitanstadt sehr kompetent und überaus kurzweilig näher gebracht. Es bleibt die Erinnerung an einen wunderschönen Ausflug, der an Sehenswürdigkeiten, Aussichtspunkten, Verpflegungsstationen (Caffè Gambrinus! und eine urgemütliche Pizzeria) meine Erwartungen übererfüllt
This exclusive tour offers a real insight into the colourful life and grandeur of the historic centre of Naples, both past and present. You'll explore the vast piazzas and winding back alleys of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and visit important monuments.
On arrival by hydrofoil, you'll be guided towards the heart of the city. Discover its great profusion of architectural styles as we pass through the Piazza Plebiscito, the Galleria Umberto and the medieval Castel Nuovo. Next, take the cable car up to the upscale Vomero district. You'll visit the lavishly decorated Certosa di San Martino, a former monastery and now a museum. The views over the Bay of Naples from here are also worth the trip.
After some free time for lunch, you'll visit one of Europe's most beautiful metro stations. It boasts 180 works by 90 international artists. Round off the day with a ride on the Metro and a stroll around the historic centre of this pulsating city.
