Seeing the sculptures in that beautiful natural setting was impressive, and somehow more thought provoking. The special exhibition was well curated and informative. I would have liked to see more Chagall pieces. I.enjoyed my lunch under the fir trees and had good service. Overall, a terrific experience (though the walk up that hill from lower car park took it out of me!). Many thanks.
A Fondation Maeguerite et Aimé Maeght é uma das mais importantes instituições culturais do mundo. Inaugurada a 28 de julho de 1964 por André Malraux, a fundação nasceu da amizade de Aimé Maeght e da sua mulher Marguerite com alguns dos mais importantes artistas do século XX.
O museu possui uma das mais importantes colecções de pinturas, esculturas, desenhos e obras gráficas de artistas modernos e contemporâneos da Europa, com mais de 13.000 referências: uma coleção excecional de esculturas de Alberto Giacometti e obras de Joan Miró, obras-primas de Pierre Bonnard, Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Georges Braque e muitos outros.
