What to expect

On this 7-hour guided tour, you'll have the chance to explore Gran Canaria and its amazing flora and fauna. The island belongs to the region of Macaronesia and offers many attractions such as gorges, beaches, caves, and craters.

You'll be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a 1-hour ride where you can admire the landscape of the islands, full of wild ravines and curvy mountain roads.

Your guide will choose the best route depending on the weather conditions on a given day/region or season, taking into account, for example, blooming flora and other factors that will make the route very attractive.

After a 4-5 hours hike, you'll also have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to taste local specialities or have a picnic.

Meeting point:
Pickup service is available for Maspalomas area and Mogan area. The Maspalomas area includes Bahia Feliz, San Agustin, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Sonnenland, Campo Internacional, San Fernando. The Mogan area includes Arguineguin, Puerto Rico, Taurito, Puerto de Mogan. Please be ready outside the reception of your hotel 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. The bus has the “GC Active Tour” logo.

Know in advance:

  • Route details: distance: 7-10km; ↑ 300m - 500m ascent ↓ 300 - 500m descent
  • Difficulty level: easy-medium
  • In case of bad weather conditions or other adverse circumstances, the organizer can modify the route, change the tour date, or cancel it. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, you'll receive a full refund
  • For logistical reasons, the lunch in the restaurant can be replaced by a picnic (baguette, energy bar, fruit, 1.0l bottle of water)
  • Pick-up service is available for Maspalomas and Mogan areas. Please select your pickup area when you book the tour
  • This tour operates with a minimum of 4 people

Remember to bring:

  • Mountain clothing or sportswear
  • Hiking shoes with good grip are mandatory and will be checked by a guide before starting the trip
  • From October to March, the weather can vary more easily and rainfalls are usually more frequent (trips during rainy days are generally avoided, but sometimes the weather can be a surprise). Warm clothing with long sleeves as well as long trousers and, just in case, a rain jacket which can also serve as a wind-stopper are strongly recommended
  • Considering the fact that lunch in the restaurant is at about 3.30pm and that everyone has individual preferences, you can take a light meal of your own, for example: fruits, energy bars, almonds, biscuits, sandwiches, etc.

    Die Wandertour war im Hinblick auf Dauer und Schwierigkeitsgrad genau richtig. Der Tourguide war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Ich hatte auf dieser Tour sehr viel Spaß und konnte einiges über die Insel lernen. Vielen Dank für tolle Tour! Sehr empfehlenswert!

    Mooie wandeling in de buurt van Teror. Goede gids gaf veel interessante info tijdens de wandeling. hij had voldoende oog voor de veiligheid en paste het tempo aan aan de conditie van de deelnemers. Op het einde van de wandeling was er maar weinig tijd (20 minuten) om Teror te bezoeken, wij hadden hiervoor graag iets meer tijd voor gehad.
