Starting on 11th April, the museum presents an extraordinary exhibition that you won’t want to miss. "Experiment Expressionism – Schiele meets Nosferatu" brilliantly combines masterpieces of German and Austrian Expressionism with the fascinating aesthetics of early silent films. Discover paintings by Erich Heckel, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein, Herbert Boeckl, Helene Funke, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Oppenheimer, Egon Schiele and Helene von Taussig, set in a unique dialogue with the world of cinema.
These works are complemented by posters, film stills, and excerpts from legendary "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", Nosferatu" and "Metropolis" and offer a fresh perspective on Expressionist imagery in film.
