Located in the heart of Amsterdam, ARTIS is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and the fifth oldest in the world.

Visit the jaguar cub and its mother, and along the way, discover tapirs, capybaras, and other species of the Pampa. As you explore the park, meet (endangered) animals from all over the world and discover how important it is to protect these species.

Visit the Planetarium for a journey through space (admission included). Discover stars, planets and marvel at our place in the universe.

Feel the fluttering of countless wings in the Butterfly Pavilion. Stroll through the historic city park and view monuments, admire the botanical garden and take a relaxing break at one of the vegetarian restaurants.

Check the daily schedule for zookeeper presentations, where you can learn about the sea lions, Asian elephants, and other animals. Whether you want to discover, learn, or care for nature at ARTIS, you can do it all.

With a combined ticket, also visit ARTIS' other unique locations: discover the world of microbes in ARTIS-Micropia and find out how all life is connected in ARTIS-Groote Museum.

I wish I could have had ice for my drink as it was a hot day. I wanted to pay with cash and could not at the french fry stand nor at the waffle stand.
