This is an extremely unique experience which was well explained on the coach by a member of staff. There are several offerings at Xel-Ha. We opted to pay for the seawalk and it was an incredible experience for somebody that hasn't done this before. Overall, I cannot recommend visiting more.

We did three activities, zip bike, adrenalina and power snorkel. Whilst all three activities were enjoyable, they were not worth the price paid for them given their length, the activity and experience. It would have been good to understand the price beforehand so the activities could be planned and not pressure to do them when entering the park.

In terms of the venue and activities is fantastic however if you want to swim with dolphins the cheapest package is 260 US Dollars and then you are not even able to take your own photos and have to pay “extra” along with this if you want to take photos at the top of the light house you can unless again you pay extra. I have paid over £190 to come here.. I should at least be able to take a photo of the activities I’m doing.

Having been 20 years ago I dont think it's now value for money as all the coral is now dead due to climate change so it's not much of a snorkeling experience it once was for that reason alone I don't feel it was worth spending over £600 for the family. Still some nice aspects but overall a big let down.

Cozumel guided snorkelling and island tour from Cancun

Hop aboard a super-speedy boat headed to Cozumel Island, where the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and its marine life are waiting. Soak up the breathtaking landscapes before snorkelling at two of the most famous reefs in the southern part of the island, Palancar and Colombia. They're separated by a couple of metres of open water, so you'll have wall-to-wall reef to explore. Next stop is the shores of El Cielo – which literally means ‘the sky' in English – as it's famous for its peaceful atmosphere and giant starfish population, which you'll find covering much of the ocean floor. You'll also have the chance to see stingrays and other sea creatures during your time here. Afterwards, there'll be some time to relax and check out the views from El Cielito Sandbar, before heading towards the centre of Cozumel.For lunch, you'll get to try some of the region's typical dishes at a vibrant, local restaurant with an ocean view, before rounding off the day with free time to wander around Cozumel Centre. Akumal Monkey Sanctuary with ATV tour and snorkelling in Cancun

Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula is loaded with wild landscapes, and you'll have a chance to dive into them on this full-day itinerary. You'll tick off everything from a visit to a monkey sanctuary to an ATV ride in the jungle, with some snorkelling in Akumal Bay thrown in for good measure. Javier, an expert local guide, says “this activity is perfect if you want to leave the big cities and hotels behind for a while and experience Mexico's greener side. Cenotes, wildlife, beaches, jungle – you'll encounter them all.”You'll start your day with a visit to the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, a place where rescued animals from around the area are looked after and treated. You'll be shown around by one of the people who work here, and you'll be introduced to some of the primates and birds currently being cared for. Then, you'll switch things up a few gears for an ATV ride through the jungle. You can get behind the controls of a vehicle as you head to a cenote tucked away within the greenery. Argelia, one of our guides, says ‘You'll learn about the calendars in the Temple of Kukulkan and its sacred staircase, where each equinox the shadows represent the descent of the feathered snake.' Afterwards, you'll enjoy a cenote swim and visit a Maya village for lunch.It's an early start so as to be the first to arrive at this UNESCO World Heritage Site – the perfect time to snap a few selfies. The stillness adds even more mystery to the magnificent Maya monuments. There's the mighty Kukulkan Pyramid, the Temple of the Jaguars and the macabre Tzompantli, among many landmark sites. ‘The bas-reliefs that tell us about the magical beliefs inspired by their interpretation of the stars,' says Argelia.Next, head to an underground cenote for a swim in its clear waters. Then it's on to the village for lunch. All the food is locally grown and prepared to traditional recipes.
