Absoluut het geld waard. Mooie (kleine) plek voor de olifanten die uit een vreselijke omgeving zijn gered door deze mensen en met veel aandacht verzorgd worden. Ze laten je voedsel voorbereiden om zelf de olifanten te voeren en geven veel informatie over deze mooie dieren en hun verhaal. Vergeet niet je eerst goed in te smeren met anti muggen crème (of spray), je krijgt nog van hun voordat je de natuur in gaat. In ieder geval een aanrader!
Feeding and seeing Asian elephants up close is one of Thailand's bucket list experiences, so this half-day tour takes you to Samui Elephant Home to meet them. You'll see them in the mud spa and help to prepare their food, before walking with them through Koh Samui's lush natural surroundings.
Samui Elephant Home works to help and care for elephants with the aim of releasing Asian elephants into the wild and conserving the species for generations to come. And you'll be able to take a look into the project's hard work by helping them with their daily routine and learning about elephant conservation in Koh Samui.
On arrival, you'll be given an introduction to the centre, then it's over to the food prep station to prepare the elephants' meals before feeding them. During this activity, you'll be able to learn about the elephant's dietary needs, and even a find out about the individual quirks of each animal. Afterwards, you'll head over to the mud spa, then walk with them, observing the way they play and interact with their natural habitat.
